1976 Aquanaut 930 for sale in Kent
This Aquanaut 930 built in 1976 was fully restored in 2020 including a complete repaint of the hull. The vessel offers four berths in two cabins with a good-sized saloon and a spacious centre wheelhouse. It has a Vetus M4.14 52 HP diesel engine that has only completed 960 hours as of 30th June 2024. The vessel was purchased by the current owner in March 2024 to undertake a trip down the French canals and he has completed several upgrades in preparation for the trip including installing hot water, but a change in circ*mstances means that he now needs to sell the vessel - hence the competitive price. This boat would make an ideal liveaboard. A March 2024 survey is available for anyone viewing the vessel. A liveaboard berth subject to interview is also available.

Accommodation :
This Aquanaut 930 offers four berths in two cabins. The forepeak has a twin berth with an infill to make it into a double berth with under berth storage. It has an opening deck hatch which provides additional light and air to this part of the cabin.
Aft of the forepeak and to port is a dinette table that can comfortably seat four people. Opposite to starboard is a settee which could be used as a small single berth if required with storage above and underneath. There is 2m of headroom in the saloon and lots of windows make it very light and airy.
Aft of the dinette is the galley which has a single stainless steel sink with pressurized hot and cold water, a Dometic 12v fridge with icebox, and a 3 burner gas hob. Hot water is provided by a recently installed 240v immersion heater and via a calorifier tank heated by the engine.
Opposite the Galley is the heads with a vanity unit containing a sink with hot and cold water, a shower tap, marine sea toilet with a 150L holding tank.
Companionway steps lead up to the Wheelhouse which has a recent blue co*ckpit enclosure and solid windscreen and roof. It has seating for six people and excellent lifting floor access to the Vetus engine. There is also good storage lockers within the wheelhouse area.
Steps lead down from the wheelhouse to the aft cabin which has a double berth to starboard and a single settee to port making this an ideal owner's cabin.
Access to the aft bathing platform and side decks is from the central wheelhouse with good-sized side decks and reasonably high guardrails. All of the windows were removed and resealed in 2020.

History & Construction:
This Aquanaut 930 open co*ckpit with an aft cabin was built in 1976. It has a 4 mm white steel hull and superstructure. The hull and superstructure were repainted in 2020 when all of the windows were removed and resealed and replaced. A March 2024 survey identified the lowest thickness of the hull as 3.63 mm and the steel fuel tank at 3.9mm. It has a mahogany interior.A 2024 survey report is available to anyone viewing the vessel.
The current owner purchased the vessel in March 2024 to undertake a trip through the French Canals. He has undertaken some upgrades to the interior replacing some of the mahogany veneer, removed some of the ballast, cleaned the rust, repainted and refitted. He has also added hot water but a change in circ*mstances means that he now needs to sell the vessel. Hence the low asking price.

This vessel is fitted with a Vetus M4.14 52hp 4-cylinder diesel engine that has only completed 960 hours as of the 1st July 2024. The engine is indirectly cooled and has a shaft drive to a fixed 3-blade propeller. It has Morse controls.
It is fitted with a steel 200-litre fuel tank. This vessel will cruise at 6 knots and has a maximum speed of approximately 10 knots. The engine was last serviced by the owner in March 2024. Some previous service history is available. It has a Side-Power 4hp through tunnel bowthruster.
Electrical Systems:
The vessel has 4 x12v batteries fitted, 2 x 100AH domestic, new in 2020, 1 x engine start battery, 50AH new in 2020, and 1 x 50AH bow thruster battery fitted new in 2022.
All batteries are charged by the engine alternator, solar panel, and via a 240v shore power battery charger. The vessel is also fitted with a 3000KW Inverter. has a 240V shore power ring main with a number of 240v sockets throughout the vessel.
